ACNE

Acne treatment is one of Dr. Fujita's areas of interest and expertise. The Acne Clinic, run by Dr. Fujita, customizes and treats each indivual based on skin type and acne severity. In-office procedures include comedone extraction of both blackheads and whiteheads and liquid nitrogen slush. Intralesional Kenalog injections are recommended to quickly resolve cystic large painful acne lesions. This also reduces the risk of irreversible scars. Daily home treatments are generally formulated and consist of oral medications, washes, gels, and lotions. Severely resistant acne is treated with isotretinoin (Accutane, Claravis, Sotret, and Anmesteem) for men and women and spironolactone (for women only). We also offer Benzaderm, a therapeutic cleanser containing a combination of Benzoyl Peroxide with soothing aloe vera gel for treatment of acne.
